Program Structure & Competition Levels
Our teams are structured to provide appropriate levels of competition, development, and exposure based on commitment and skill level. Program details may vary slightly by team.
Local Teams
- Compete in 6 Maine-based tournaments
- Participate in approximately 16–18 structured practices
- Focus on skill development, team chemistry, and foundational game concepts
- Ideal for athletes looking to compete locally while continuing to build their game
Regional Teams
- Compete in 6 Maine tournaments
- Travel to 2 out-of-state tournaments
- Participate in approximately 20–22 structured practices
- Designed for athletes seeking increased competition and broader exposure while maintaining strong regional roots
National Teams
- Compete in premier National Showcase Tournaments
- Participate in approximately 26–30 high-level practices
- Focused on advanced development, elite competition, and maximum exposure opportunities
- Structured for athletes committed to competing at the highest level within the program
Tournament Affiliations
- Girls Teams (National): Compete in Select 40 (S40) tournaments, providing competitive platforms for local and national visibility.
- Girls Teams (Local/Regional): Compete in Zero Gravity, BasketBull, Maine Hoops, and other Spring Classics all of which are competitive environments.
Firecracker Mission
Firecrackers Basketball is built to develop confident, explosive, and creative young athletes who compete with energy and passion. Rooted in our guiding belief of “Human Before Hoops” and united by “FAM on 3,” we prioritize character, growth, and family support both on and off the court.
Our experienced coaching staff fosters individual skill development while encouraging creativity, confidence, and that special competitive spark. Within our supportive Southern Maine community, Firecracker athletes are empowered to discover their unique strengths, overcome challenges, and grow through consistent effort and dedication. Firecrackers is more than training — it’s a transformative journey where players build resilience, leadership, and a lifelong love for the game.
Notable Firecracker Alumni
The club has achieved sustained success, with numerous athletes excelling in the Northeast-10 Conference and at Division I and II programs across the country. The program has consistently developed high-level talent, including multiple 1,000-point scorers and state champions.
